Text Box: Applications are now being accepted for the Annual GUMC College Scholarship, to be presented to the student who best fits the following criteria: * Is in a degree program at an accredited college * Has had a significant relationship in the programs at Grace Church for the past 2 years. * Completes an application on the form provided; to include; An essay as per the application form A statement of their financial need A copy of their college acceptance letter Applications for this grant are available in the church office. When completed, please return applications to the same folder or give to the church secretary. The folder is on top of the safe in the church office The deadline for the application will be SEPTEMBER 7, 2008 No applications will be accepted after that date. The Scholarship committee will make the final decision of who will receive the scholarship and will make the announcement during the week of September 8th. If you have any questions call Sandy Powers @ 349– 2159 Text Box: It’s Time to Register for the 2008-2009 Academic Year Grace Community Village, Inc. is taking applications for its after-school program that starts up again on September 8th. It runs every school day from 3:30-6pm (2:30pm on Wednesdays) and is available to children in grades 1 – 6. A variety of activities are included: 3:30 – 4:30pm, children receive tutoring, help with homework and participation in a computer based reading program. 4:45-5:00pm a healthy dinner is served that includes a meat/cheese main course, fresh vegetables, a serving of fruit and milk. 5:00 – 6:00pm the curriculum includes physical activity, chess, dancing and drama lessons. Parents are asked to contribute $3/week for tuition. Children can be registered by filling out an application form, available at Grace UM Church, 121 Driving Park Avenue, between 9am – 3pm, Monday – Friday. I am collecting Box Tops for Education coupons to help Rochester schools pay for special programs and reading materials.  Would you please help me? Deacons Table has been a big help with all the cereal they get.
